The first Southern Kent Island Sanitary Project Open House held on March 11 at the Kent Island Estates Community Center was successful with more than 70 residents attending. Queen Anne's County staff was available to assist residents and lot owners with individual questions on lot consolidations, review and provide right-of-entry design options, discuss individual state grants of $7,750, determine eligibility for other financial assistance and have personalized answers to questions about the project.
In total 29 right-of-entry agreements and 5 permanent easements for the project were signed at the first of five open houses currently scheduled.
Kent Island Estates and Romancoke residents are invited to attend open house workshops as scheduled below.

· Saturday March 21, 1-4pm at KI Estates Community Center
· Wednesday March 25, 4-8pm at KI Estates Community Center
· Saturday March 28, 1-4pm Romancoke Community Center
The County will have available at each open house a mobile office trailer which allows for private, on-site completion of the transactions. Residents are reminded to bring their identification to take advantage of this option. Copies of signed documents are available immediately.
