The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) is hosting an informational meeting about two projects to improve safety and accessibility for pedestrians and improve the roadway: MD 404 ALT (from west of the Talbot County line to Hillsboro eastern town limit) and MD 303 (from MD 404 ALT to MD 309). These projects include sidewalk, curb, and gutter improvements; pavement rehabilitation; and bridge replacement, which will require a detour. Design improvements will alleviate drainage concerns and enhance the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
Wednesday, October 28 between 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company
13520 1st Street, Queen Anne, MD 21657
The informational meeting will include maps and displays and update the public about the projects’ status and engineering design. SHA representatives will be available to answer project-related questions. A brief presentation will begin at 6:45 p.m. You may arrive at any time during meeting hours and walk through the display area at your own pace.
