Stay Active, Connected, and Supported This Holiday SeasonThe holidays are a wonderful time to connect, celebrate, and care for your well-being! At our Active Aging and Senior Centers, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the season—join friends for lunch, take part in festive programs, try something new, or simply spend time with people who make you smile. While this time of year can bring joy, it can also bring challenges for some. The National Council on Aging reminds us that staying connected, moving our bodies, and sharing our feelings all support good health during the holidays. (Read more at ncoa.org) If you could use a little extra encouragement or want to connect more deeply with others, consider attending one of our upcoming emotional support group meetings: - Journey Together – Grasonville Senior Center, Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM
- Emotional Support Group – Sudlersville Senior Center, Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 12:45 PM
Both groups offer a welcoming, understanding space to share experiences, lift each other up, and find comfort in community. Make this holiday season brighter—come meet new friends, enjoy a meal, and celebrate the spirit of connection at your local Active Aging & Senior Centers!

Scam WatchLet’s Focus on Protecting Older Adults from Financial Fraud and Scams Per Maryland Department of Transportation, Smishing EZ Pass Scams. Attention all Marylanders! The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) urges all toll customers to stay alert as smishing scams targeting Marylanders have been rising across the region. Just what are these scams and what do the messages look like? These fraudulent text messages claim to come from DriveEzMD or E-ZPass and attempt to trick recipients into clicking on malicious links or providing sensitive personal information. MDTA will never send you a text about toll debt. When in doubt, throw it out. Trust your gut, don’t click strange links, and contact DriveEzMD by visiting DriveEzMD.com, calling 1-888-321-6824, or stopping by one of their Customer Service Centers.
