That's a Wrap on 2025!

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who came out to the 2025 Queen Anne's county Make a Difference Day event! This annual event is hosted to help those in our community, and it wouldn't be possible without all of the amazing support we received!

To the numerous volunteers and staff, we thank you. Your help in directing visitors, helping with translation, setting up and breaking down everything, and too many other tasks to list out really made this year's event run smooth and effectively. 

To the 60 vendors who donated their time and resources, we thank you. The organizations, departments, and businesses that you represent offer so much to those in need and we are thrilled to help make those connections for a brighter future for everyone involved. to make everything function better than planned.

The groups, businesses, and individuals that provide goods and/or monetary donations allow for us to pass along even more assistance to our visitors; a total of 132 families, which comes to over 200 attendees! It shows in the hundreds of coats and blankets given away, 350 fresh sub sandwich meals served, the 305 community members serviced by the food bank, and so many other ways. Your support is what keeps allowing for this event to grow and reach more people every year.

2025 was a fantastic year that showed incredible growth for the event. We hope to make every year bigger than the last, and our goals for 2026 have been moved pretty far. We hope to see you all next year!

What is Make a Difference Day?

Queen Anne's County Make a Difference Day is a resource day that provides services for people who are experiencing homelessness and those at-risk of homelessness who are living paycheck to paycheck in our community.

Make A Difference Day is typically held on the first Saturday of November.

Examples of services that are typically provided during the event:

  • Dental Care
  • MD Food Bank
  • Haircuts
  • Health Care
  • Housing Assistance
  • Shelter
  • Flu Shots
  • Support for families
  • AND SO MUCH MORE
